Its about money. They "the news media" companies are making money preaching doom and gloom now...and if we have several years more of national financial problems...then they will make even more money.

I believe they supported obama because they saw another bill clinton and the remembered how much money they made of off that piece of S*** and they started smelling that big amount of cash again....

I thought...I thought that Barack Hussein Obama would be enough for them...but i was wrong. They want more than just "good money"...the want HYPER MONEY. Think about it... Obama and all his mistakes combined with people being glued to the TV over the economy...fearing riots, fearing martial law, Fearing some kind of new disease outbreak "pandemic".... the list goes on.

The long and the short of it... After a few years these media companies will be FILTHY RICH!!! And not only that...but their reporting will hurt the economy so bad that the money they make will buy more than it ever did before the financial crisis...

As far as i'm concerned, Glen Beck is NOT an American. I know i don't have the power to effect the status of his citizenship...only he can do that... Which i believe he already has.
In my opinion allot of the media have made themselves enemies of the state....

I haven't watched any network/cable news in a long time. I seldom watch the local news unless we are going to have bad weather.

I tend to feel a bit differently. The media really wanted Obama to win because they're all liberal arts majors from college. That whole freakin' group is a bunch of moronic liberal trash. They genuinely fell in love with him.

With that said, they also want to preach bad news because that's what sells, as you alluded to already. They'll continue to preach bad news until the cows come home no matter who is in office. They will be the downfall of this moron... The liberal media gave birth to the Obama fetish and they will also cause the end of his success story...

He better hope the financial collapse comes before the end of his first term. There will never be an admission of a failed 'stimulus package' but they will always say, "we just didn't do enough because of Republican opposition...." I believe he's setting himself up to be some sort of socialist savior. When we hit bottom he'll have some social program to bail us all out, and we'll gladly accept it. And that sir, will be his "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" day...

Glenn's a good guy. He's just a little overly(sp?) sensitive, and tends to take the sky is falling approach.
I kinda think the sky is gona fall myself. I just don't think it's going to land as hard as he does.

They preach doom and gloom so the sheep will allow Obama to do whatever he wants, because he is doing something. The left wants to get control before the people wake up. That is why they are in such a hurry. It may already be to late to stop them. Once they get more control they will silence dissent.
The media was telling us doom and gloom for 8 years and it was part of their agenda to get the dems back in power. I think the Oct meltdown was a planned event. Although I think they got more than they expected which is typical of liberal plans going awry.
I think the media is invested in Obama totally. They have hung their hats on him as our messiah. They are not going to let him fail easily. Just as soon as there is even the slightest good news they will give him credit. A half percent decrease in unemployment will be heralded as success worthy of sainthood. He is the first black president no way the media will desert him without a fight.
Just as we heard nothing but doom and gloom under Bush we will hear nothing but success for Obama. Any failure will be blamed on Bush for years to come, perhaps decades.

Just a few weeks ago, I saw an article posted both on Foxnews.com and CNN.com describing the fact that for one week or so new jobless benefits claims were lower than expected. The FoxNews article was a bit slanted positively. The CNN.com article said, "New Jobless Claims Lower than Expected - STILL HIGH". By that "STILL HIGH" comment, they just took a positive thing and spun it negatively. Only negative news sells, and the networks are more concerned about their bottom line than the success of a politician or our nation in the end. Granted, during the primaries they were in love with Obama but now only negatives will sell. They will be his downfall. Just my opinion...

Before you credit the media with any integrity put it in perspective. If it was Bush would they have phrased it that way? The media and the left manipulate words very well. Obama is ripe with negatives and how much has the media really pursued? Palin's kid got more negative media than Rev Wright, Ayers and Rezko combined. The media is made up of leftist ideologs. Just because a few show a minimum amount of objectivity in some small way does not mean Obama is not their messiah. IMHO

They want the man to look good personally but it's possible they're just too dang dumb to realize how badly they're hurting Obama's overall image and consumer confidence by only spouting negatives about the economy?... It could very well be that they can't put 2 and 2 together...

The funny part is that many of those on left both in media and out will suffer greatly because of Obama. Their dumb to that fact for sure. They all believe he will spare them because of their self proclaimed liberal elite status. No doubt some will be above the repercussions of Obama but not all.
I think that is part of the Obama agenda. A few liberal elites running everything making all the decisions. By the time many of these liberals realize they were only pawns it will be to late.

First, I think you are giving the media way too much credit. Second, I don't think the analysis really holds up

. Case in point; Super Bowl. Bad economy means advertising goes way down, which in turn means the news outlets are not going to be making hyper-money. Additionally, generally bad economies like this are met with rapid inflation (one reason the economy turns so bad) in which case their money will be all but worthless.
