I am looking for help with this gun,
Barrel length 2.5 In Over all 7.5 In Octagon Barrell 5 Shots about .32 or .28 maybe a .38 It has a black grip with a W on top of it it is a double action spur trigger. on the top of the barrel it says Eagle CO. Stamped into it. On the Heel of the gun it has stamped into it 4616 one the underside of the Barrel is stamped a 16 and on the revolver is 616. any help would be great!

Hi GMAC...welcome to TFF.
According to Flayderman's Guide to Antique American Firearms what you have is a Whitney Size/Model No. 1, Wide Cylinder. They were marked "WHITNEYVILLE" or "EAGLE CO.", and were made from 1871 to 1879 in calibers .22, .32, and .38 Rimfire. Values: V.G. - $115 Exc. - $325 |

Thank you guys for your help. It was my wife's great grandmother's and her great grandfather bought it to protect the home from varmits and such was the story.
