Prayers Needed - The Firearms Forum

My grandfather was taken into the Hospital late yesterday and what looked like a mild case of pneumonia has turned into a full blown problem. Fluid around the heart on top of the pneumonia. He had a quad bypass 20 years ago and had been in fairly good health until Parkinsons had set in 5 or 6 years ago. Now it looks like he is in trouble this time. He has been hit with one thing after another since the Parkinsons had set in but they had always been mild little things. It looks like they are all ganging up on him at once.

Heavenly Father, we come before you this morning asking for you to place your healing hand upon this man. He has several health issues, Lord, but you are the Great Physician and you know all about that.
We are asking for you to have mercy upon him, and to relieve his suffering.
We are asking for you to be with each medical person working on him, that each one would do exactly the right thing.
And as always, Lord, we do not pray about the tools you choose to use; we are only praying for the end result.

We also ask that you would be with each member of his family, and with each friend, that you would give each one strength and comfort as they deal with this.

And we ask all of these things in the name of Jesus the Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith -

Amen -

Another truly beautiful prayer Terry. Big ugly, I can't do anywhere near that good but I do ask the Lord to watch over him and to give you all strength in this time of need. I'll have you added to our church prayer as well. God be with you.

Just got home from visiting him. He is still in the ICU but it looks like he is getting a little better. His mind is still in a fog as to where and why he is there but it looks as far as health wise he is getting somewhat better. Will be able to know more once he is out of the ICU and into a regular room which should be sometime tomorrow. With his medical problems though we will not take an easy breath till he gets home.

He been a tough old feller. He was in the tail end of WWII in the Pacific Theater and then in Korea as a Combat engineer assigned to the air corps. He done duty up in the Arctic circle with some cold weather outposts after Korea keeping an eye on the Ruskies during the early stages of the Cold war too.

I am telling all you fellers this so you get a back ground on who you are prying for. This is a man who spent his life building things with his own hands, buying American when ever possible and being an all round square guy. This is really the first time I have seen him real sick since he had his Heart Bypass 20 years ago.

Sorry bout the rambling, You fellers here are kinda my vent. Dont have much close family left so I kinda drafted you fellers and gals here as my extended. Appreciate the prayers folks. I will keep you all posted too.
