First of all, welcome to TFF! Are you a complete newbie to firearms in general, or are you just looking for some technical information?

Here is a really basic page that kind of walks you through how a firearm works. The example they use is a modern semi-automatic handgun, and it's important to note that there are thousands upon thousands of different firearms designs, all of which use different methods. But this is a decent place to start. http://www.cybershooters.org/general.htm

Welcome to TFF, Carter. Looks like Sniper has gotten you off to a good start. Others may chime in with suggestions as well. Somewhere on our site someone posted some very detailed "exploded" diagrams of handguns... maybe someone can refresh my memory on that. Come on back when you have specific questions, and just browse through our forums... you'll find we have lots of expert information here.

wow, greetings all! i thought gun lovers were all supposed to be hostile, hot tempered, drunk, a$$holes...

just kidding all... actually, i've been a gun lover all my life, but really never immersed myself in them... i figured, you know what, let's do it right... learn everything, top to bottom...

i've shot a .22, couple of winchesters, and an mp5a4... lol... kind of a strange mix really.

i'm an airsoft lover, and want to do more... who knows, maybe just goin out on the range, maybe competition... we'll see where it goes...

anyways, thanks for welcoming me so kindly all... it's really appreciated! and man, look at all the info already!!! how can i ever shoot with all this info???
