Default Grandfather's Pistol

This is a gun my grandfather had on his wall that I have possession of. Anyone have any information of what it might be and when it might be from? Any information would be appreciated.

It's a Philadelphia Derringer.
You will have to check it for proof marks to see where it was made

It's not even a real gun, much less a Philadelphia derringer.

Hi Mikejx......welcome to TFF.

I think I have to agree with Bill.....your "gun" appears to be a "decorator" and not a real gun at all.

But.....does it have any markings or writing on it at all? Name, dates, address, proofmarks?

I have not been able to locate any markings, yet. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it were a decorator item. He was a cheap bastard

If there is a screw in the end of the barrel and a wick under the hammer; it is about a $15-$20 cigarette lighter. If that is the case what appears to be a screw toward the rear of the gun is for flint.
