i usually carry my 45acp in the woods when i hike since its alot smaller than my 44 mag with me where there are bears, deer, coyotes all the animals up in PA what would be the best type of bullet to carry i bought some 230 grain hollow point should this be fine?

That should do the trick nicely!
BTW - make sure they feed reliably through your gun.

Should be fine. I might go with a FMJ, but either would work.

You might also want to try a 250gr Keith type bullet for your .45. Just a little more penetration.
