I have a pre '64 from an estate and wondering about the value considering the artwork. 30 06 with plain six power scope. Also tapped for peep site.
Piece in exc+ condition. I gave $500 for it. Thanks

![]() That's a beautiful rifle, and the and the engraving and woodcarving is beautifully done.......BUT......engraved and carved hunting rifles have a very limited market. To somebody who's looking for that sort of thing, it would be worth a bunch, but most hunters (like 99.9999% of 'em) wouldn't dare take something that elaborate out in the field. It's strictly a showpiece. If it were a Plain Jane Model 70, I could give you a Blue Book value.....but I wouldn't even hazard a guess on this one. |
