Got the job pending the dreaded background check. I went and gave the yellow water sample...

No concern there unless they mix up the sample with someone elses...
I am concerned with the background check because of previous experiences with TRAK1 screwing it up... They confused Michael William ***** with Michael Wayne *****. I hope they get it right this time.

The pay... wow... the pay is almost shamefull. $7.65 an hour. Its been a decade or more since i worked for that low of a wage. Problem is i have been looking for a while now and nothing has come my way...and i have to cover my expenses. I can't live off of dwindling savings forever.

I sure hope the economy improves at some point in the future.

If any of y'all would like to pray that the background check is done accurately...i would appreciate it. Thanks.

I don't drink my "own stuff"... But i do have a bunch of it bottled up to send to you though....

Second 'cause you need a job that pays that.
I gave up on job searching after 4 months, I'm going back to school and the government pays me unemployment for nearly another year. Plus more if I need it after Financial Aid.

Congrats. I agree on the pay rate but sometimes you just don't have good options. Still, work is better than no work, even at $7 an hour.

Great to hear GN, hope things work out. I know, I'm looking for a job to supplement my retirement. I just can't live solely on my retirement, imagine that! It's hard to find anything. Good luck! After you get the job, get the white lightning out and celebrate!

What's the job? I tried to get a low paying job, back when I was unemployed, but was over qulified for most of them, and they wouldn't hire me. The only folks that would hire me were Security Guard type companies. They just don't care what your qulifications are! If you don't have a felony conviction, you're 18 or over, can pass a p%&* test, and you're still breathing, you got a job with them! My last one paid $11 per hr., and I did not have to carry a gun.

I had that overqualification problem too. When they look at "previous pay rate" and it's 2-3 times what they want to start workers out at, there's a very good likelihood your application gets "file 13" right off the bat.
In 4 months I had one interview in return for scores of applications. I was very well qualified and the pay rate was just about what I'd been making. I got a letter a week later telling me I hadn't been hired.

I might have to look into that!!!! I allways figured that kind of work was bare bone minimal wage....
