Coyote, Fox or a Coy Dog more than likely. One of the three I'd say.
This time of year with the WARM weather, they shed alot of thier fur, or it thins out.

All of those look healthier than the mangy, scruffy Coyotes we have here in Southern California.

I used to hunt and trap coyotes as a teenager in Kansas in the 70's and 80's and there were some really nice animals with beautiful pelts and some not so nice looking ones, but, the biggest and best looking one i've ever seen was one night about midnight in Beverly Hills a few years ago. Obviously fattened up on cats and poodles and rich peoples pets, it looked like it weighed 70 lbs.

Certainly not down here in Riverside County.. hot, dry, brown. It won't be too long before they start coming down out of the hills.

Do you know anywhere close by that we can hunt them? By close by I mean SoCal.

I would have to ask at the Shootist. I know that there is stiff competition for wild pig tags in the Santa Ana river basin near Norco, but I've heard nothing about Coyotes unless its a ranch owner or a declared urban hazard.

feral is wild , not native .. if it had a collar i'd not shoot it but send it home with a note

the pic of the foxes on the fence is from the tasmainia shoot 300 shooter along the parks borders with farms , send in the beaters and some dogs and this is what comes out here where i am now we have just won the right to hunt in national parks and state forests 4.6 million hectares of land available for hunters so maybe we can roll the damage back some

no fox and other scavengers i never eat Beth, to many bad things you can get from them here parasites being one issue , fox linked illness another .. besides it stinks

a serious stink Beth and why i cant keep folks to work at this , the smell is not good

i get back treat the hides then scrub myself .. otherwise i stink too

to explain how bad it is , one guy protesting the gun laws here put fox guts in a jar and put the jar over the main entrance of parliament

a couple days later in the sun the jar blew , they sealed parliament for a couple days to clean it and they ended up sand blasting and pressure washing it .. folks where passing out from the stench

at least we dont have any rabies here ..

then you done good Beth

most folks dump em in the woods not rescue them from there

more of that here and we'd be ok and i'd not have to shoot so many
