The book came today.
I gave it a scan and it looks like a great book. Thanks--- I should be able to read this in a week or 2 depending on what is going on. SG--get ready--I will be sending it your way next week sometime. thanks WP maybe we can get this book to take a trip around the country. From South Dakota to New Hampshire to Ohio Where next? I would be interested in keeping track of this trip.

Merc will you write Blackgun and Warpig inside the front cover. Quote:
It starts with the story of his father and grandfather and their guns. Then John's life and all his guns. Has stories about the guns development and testing. Tells all about his relationship with Winchester and their falling out. All about him and FN. Shows pics of many guns. Tells about him making his first recievers with hammer, chisle and forge- amazing Also tells descriptions and pics of all the gun models that Winchester bought from him just to keep them out of the competitions hands, they were never produced. My favorite part is the story of the machine gun test in Colt's indoor gun range. The story of the Ma Duece and 1911 are great as well. And the A5 story and.......... you get the picture ![]() Last edited by warpig; 01-22-2004 at 06:34 AM.. |

Hey, when it has made its rounds and is ready to come back to Texas, I'd like to have a pass at it. Sounds like a good read.

Sounds like a good idea, Sniper. Since I'm up north, I think it should come here before sending it south.

Are we starting a circulating library? I have an extra copy of "Unintended Consequences" I was going to use as a prize at the shoot. I could start it around, however, as I have other things to bring for that.
I'd like to read Randy's book. I read part of it, but had to move before I finished it. Pops |

Hey, you guys may be on to something here. I think a book circulation library would be an awesome idea. Especially if everyone who reads it signs it.
It's camaraderie like this that makes TFF a great place! |
