Default More participation on this forum?

It always slows down on here this time of year but gosh folks, we've almost gone in reverse!

Try to drop a line whenever you visit so we know that you are Ok and let us know how the weather is in your area and how the family is getting along.

Try to pick up the pace whenever possible, OK?

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to all from cold Flagstaff, AZ. We were supposed to get snow this weekend but, hey, you know how those weathermen/women lie !!!! Thanks for a great forum.

Robert: You nag worse than my wife, but I usually need it. Southern NM is a fixin to get a big storm. We expect 6in+ overnight, guess I'd better do some reloading as it won't be fit for man nor beast.

Well, the weather sucks here right now, Berto, colder than a well-digger's butt in January, and it's supposed to snow! Hmmm, come to think of it, that's a damn sight better than being in the Nam during the Monsoon, or humping the green when it's 90 degrees and 90% humidity!

Very true, Shadow. One must never ignore Murphy's Law: Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, at the worst possible time! It could be worse, you know, like, Charlie's on the wire, the mortars are too hot to shoot, and Ma Deuce is out of ammo.

OK..

how is this??

it 9:20PM on the 18th of December and it dark outside and snowing again (we expect about 6 more inches by morning)

just drove back from the hospital to have my mother-in-outlaw looked at by a Durangorllia doctor... she's OK... but drive back in a blinding snowfall and at night gives me a headache..

can't see but six feet in front of the car....

OK.... here is some pictures I took earlier in the day...

My grand-daughter at 16 Months.....

The Christmas tree we put up..... this year it is small, but a real tree instead of an artificial one.

and the outside of the house we are renting

and a view of the ridge to our north-east of the house.

Gorgeous, Mith. Thanks for the gift. I'd dearly love to experience one of those 18" to 24" storms just once again in my life before..... !!!!!

Marlin, you say that like you're old. Besides, you're as young as you feel. And I'm guessing that that is pretty young

You're too lucky Mith.. I am officially jealous, why can't PA get good snow like that?

I know the snow can be a pain to deal with, but it sure makes some beautiful pictures!

And there's enough snow in those pictures to make a ton of snow ice cream!

Snow is great, SoMo, so long as you don't have to be out in it! Fortunately, I'm on vacation between semesters right now, and my wife has tomorrow off. Time to hunker down, drink a little Irish coffee, and watch it snow!

Thanks, Six. So far there has been no snow except for a very, very light dusting. I get the feeling mother nature is saving up her spit for later this evening! Oh well, it's better than Nam in the Monsoon, right? And what is even better is that I don't have to go humpin' in it!
