I have recently acquired a H&R 632 which shows 32 s&w caliber on the barrel. The long version is not shown, but chambers OK in the cylinder. Question: Can the long be safely fired in this gun or must I only use the short. Anyone?????

yes, H&R dropped the 32 Long markings on this revolver for a while but starting reusing it in 1984 when the 32 H&R magnum chambering was introduced in their new heavier frame 500 series of handguns.

Bill, Thanks for your reply. It helps to know that I can use the Long as it appears to have better ballistics than the Short. Please let me know when I can get your H&R book.
