Default Family Update & Request for Prayers

First off, thanks to everyone of you, our friends, for all your prayers and good wishes. We have had another bump in the road and I am requesting you all pray for Brisk's and I 's father. Dad is on his death bed and will be meeting Mom proabably in a day or two. I have been spending as much time with him and other family members as they all look to me for support during times like this. That's why I haven't been commenting on any threads lately.

Regarding Brisk, he's not doing well and it's only a short time before he too meets up with Dad, Mom, and our brother Tom. I wish I had better news for all of you but in some ways this is good news as we all look forward to everlasting life with God and family.

Thanks again for all your support and thoughtfulness! Talk with you all soon!

Best,

Bob (A.L.)

We pray for the very best for you, and your family. It's good to know that those that pass on will be spending eternity in Heaven with God, our Father.

1. Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.

AL, for the christian, to pass on is the ultimate healing. It is the day of reward and celebration. It is very difficult on us who are left behind, but, just knowing you will meet again on the other side will give you hope to cling to. Prayers from here brother.

A.L. Continuing prayers for you and your family. When the time comes I pray that you will be comforted knowing your loved ones are home with the LORD, where there is no pain and no sorrow, but everlasting joy.

American Leader, thanks for sharing. I grieve with you.
Will continue praying that you know God's comfort and presence and peace and love in this time.
I posted this on another thread, but it holds true for everyone.

Psalm 23 talks about going through the valley. It's not a place we get stuck in. There is a beginning and an end to it and we all go in and we all come out the other side. The Psalm also describes how He is our Shepherd and leads us, going through that valley with us, leading the way.

God's blessings on you and your immediate and extended family.

I know you'll keep us posted as you can.

Lord, we uphold Bob and his family today.
We ask that you would be merciful, and make the transition an easy one for those that are graduating from this earthly life.
And for those that remain behind for now, we ask that you would comfort them with the assurance that these separations are only for a little while. Let each one know with a certainty that, if they walk with you, they will once more walk with their loved ones, and there will then never again be a goodbye.

And we ask these things in the name of Jesus the Christ, the son of the living God -

Amen -

Amen,
Bob I pass this on to you. It was told to me by my pastor @ my fathers death. To me it was a comfort.
Revelation 7:15-17
And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Bob,

When my Mom passed away in 1999, I hurt very deeply. I can't recall ever being so down. Then the thought occurred to me:

"She got a promotion."

Somehow that simplistic view helped a great deal, and continues to do so when I think of her. I hope in some way it might help you while you go through this tough time.
