I have a .22 caliber H&R model 622. I would like to know if the hammer should sit against the frame or does it set back off the frame after fireing. The revolver shoots but the hammer will have some free play in it. Is this normal. Any advice will be appriciated. Thanks

johnny boy,
This model has a "rebounding hammer" that backs off after striking the cartridge. Don't make the mistake of assuming it isn't hitting the cartridge, because it is. Old Gun Guy |

Great. Thanks a lot. Thought there might be something wrong. Just got it as a second hand gun. It will fire. Just didn't know if it was working right. Again thanks
