Lightbulb Hi point carbine update

Hey guys

Just a little update on my recent purchace of the hi-point carbine.
I was warned about it being a little painful to shoot. Well, that is the truth, it seemed to sting my cheek while shooting. So i took a look at the way the action works and sure enough the slide slams back right were your cheek sits. Here is the fix (ok an improver). Remove the action and all ( it comes out in one piece), drill hole in stock at the bottom of butt, large enough for straw, then .........FILL THAT SUCKER FULL OF POLY FOAM. ( Great Stuff foam in red can)Do same for front of stock. Let Dry and remove excess, reinstall action and all other parts. This seems to take the sting out of the gun and stiffens up and quiet down the cheap plastic stock.
I hope this helps. I am still waiting for a red dot scope I ordered supposed to be a tasco (Bushnell?)

Thanks Rider I am missing my alien smile

Smile carbine update

Riderbob I have seen this rifle and liked it. It was in a pawn shop. It had seen its better days. It was for all I could tell in very good shape compared to the sks's and other inexpensive semi auto rifles. I have thought about buying one but I have a .22 pump that is very good and a .38/.357 lever action rifle with a 20 inch barrel that I just love too. I just might be pursuaded to buy a hi-point carbine if more people would post their likes and dislikes about this rifle. Riderbob please post a pic

Default Hi-point carbine

I bought my Hi-Point used at a pawnshop also. Don’t worry too much about its condition, they are unconditionally warranted for life. Mine was missing the sling swivels and sights and they sent the parts and a new firing pin and spring free of charge. Just call the factory direct at 419-747-6095. I am very pleased with mine. I only got it recently and have only had the chance to put 100 rounds through it, but if functioned perfectly
I shot this 10 round group offhand at 25 yars rapid fire.

this is My 995 carbine
