@ 300 yds that first hit woulda droped just about anything.

Capt Mac. Those kegs are smaller than what you thought but bigger than a can. Maybe a gallon and a half or 2 gallons.

Great shooting with iron sights. I dont think I can even see that far.

Yep they are just over 1 1/4 gallons. The kegs are great, no skunking like the green bottles. I rigged my front post sight with a piece of paper clip wire to make the post about 1/4 to 1/3 the size of the original post. Even with that at 300 yards the post is slightly wider than the mini keg. Without that mod It would be very tough to iron sight at those distances.
