Default Hi From Downunder

Hi everyone, I am from Australia and just got back into hunting and target shooting, ive been on here a little while but i am now into it full on so I thought id introduce myself...

I have a .22 Brno Model 1 and just bought a .308 Weatherby Vanguard in Black for the pigs we get here, also a 12ga that looks like a bit of a collectors gun, ill post some pics in the gun part as i am needing some info on it.

Looks like a great forum and i hope you dont mind if i stick around

Cheers

Take off your coat and stay awhile. I have been here a short time. But this is the friendliest Forum i have ever been involved with.
I hope those gun laws down there don't hinder you to much.

thanks guys, I have my jacket off as it is nearly 100Deg F here today

The gun laws here are fairly bad....no allowed semi auto unless you have a valid reason and full auto is a NO NO.

Really sucks but oh well what am i gunna do... go out with my bolt action and have a ball.

Crap, I hope we have enough Fosters in the Pump House...

Welcome. And as just one American among MANY others, (no matter WHAT you hear from our lefty press!) let me PERSONALLY thank you and your country for ALL the help in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's greatly appreciated.

(And while I'm at it, a belated thank you for all your help in Vietnam, Korea and World War II!)

Welcome to TFF, Jaskel! Drag up a rock, pop a cork, and sit a while. If the crocs show up, we'll just feed them Polishshooter while the rest of us get away.

Where did all the old "storytellers" go?

If I remember right, except for the time I got my kielbasa jammed in it, in just about every story line me and the tRusty '97 ended up in the water somehow so maybe I already DID meat the crocs! (Wow, I almost edited the spelling in the last line, but left it...kind of FREUDIAN, eh, P-shootz? )

Remember they had me firing a crank Hotchkiss from the deck of a Pirate tuna boat one time which was pretty cool...

...until I of course, fell overboard....

My philosophy ENTIRELY! (As long as it ain't no stinkin' Mauser )

If I had one (and I NEED to get one before they go away...) I would take my Jungle Carbine out back and fire you a SALUTE, Jas!

(Would a Mosin Carbine suffice 'til I get one?)

Polishshooter,

I was thinking of some of those stories not long ago. The may be in the archives forum.

I also met Pelican. He is still going strong but posting very little. He still has the boat but doesn't use it much anymore.

Wow, shooter, that's RIGHT! IT was PELICAN'S Pirate tuna boat, I almost forgot! He was a QUALITY poster, wasn't he? Never uttered anything not profound! (Sure as heck not like ME!)

That brings back memories of long ago!

He was sure proud of that old scow, remember the time he posted the pics of it in the bayou with all the Christmas lights strung on it for the holidays right after we got so we could post pics?

If you talk to him, tell him Polish said hi!
