Looking for opinions on my krag project
Caught in a dilemma, small as it may be. I think I've convinced myself to use a stain called gunstock(Minwax) on the stock. Rich brown color. My local gun dealer has a grind-to-fit black recoil pad in stock. But I'm leaning toward brown, but I'm undecided. SOOOO, what do y'all think. Black-Brown-or don't matter. I value all of the input, it's like writers block. Here are a couple of examples, Hogue makes both black and brown.

Go with the brown.
 No, the black. Wait!  No, I was right the first time, go with the brown.............. but the black one would.... ........ no, no, no, just go ahead with the brown. Brown is just fine. Yeah brown, that's the color..... 'cause I mean black, well that's.... not a bad choice either. Screw it. Install a black one. That'd be nice, real nice. Almost as nice as the brown.  |

I like the "classic" black to contrast with the stock. Like the "little black dress" . Nobody ever bought the "little brown dress"
