Default Amish Virus

AMISH VIRUS:

You have just received the Amish Virus. Since we do not have electricity nor
computers, you are on the honor system. Please delete all of your files.

Thank thee.

I have deleted all my files.

Curse thee.

Cycloneman -
Indeed.

My wife says that is the purpose of the Amish.
When civilization goes to heck in a hand-basket, they will be here to show us how to live off the grid.

Something happened a few years ago involving the Amish -
We were in the middle of a MAJOR drought here in the south.
The wife and I were out on a motorcycle ride.
As we headed south through southern KY toward TN, we hit RAIN!
Driving, soaking, blinding rain.
We slowed down, and kept going because there was no shelter anywhere, just corn fields everywhere.
Then, as suddenly as we had driven into it, we drove out of it.
We had just entered, and left, Amish land.
They were the only ones getting rain for their crops.

Interesting, I thought - - -

amish story... years ago the town i lived in was damn near destroyed by a tornado . nat'l guard, and plenty of volunteers to help in the clean up. a few bus loads of amish and meninites(sp) showed up to help. i was cutting fallen trees with a big ass chain saw. i noticed a couple of guys with straw hats and zz top type beards.... i went up to them to offer them the use of my saw while i rested. they were using a double handled long log cutting buck saw. they told me " thats not our way son" "we dont use modern conviniences." to which i replied BS you rode a bus here not a horse.... my father grabbed me up and explained to the amish i was practicing for a job in the diplomatic service..... and to forgive me
