Default H&R 2536 Pat'd 1887

I have an H&R revolver. It has the companys name, address and a patent date of Oct, 4th 1887 on top of barrel. And the number 2536 underneath the barrel where the cylinder is. I am wondering what caliber it is and possibly what it is worth. Any help would be appreciated.

this one patent date was used on both the first and second model H&R Auto-Ejecting models. a picture or better description will be needed to determine which model this is. as to caliber there were only offered in two, a 6 shot 32 S&W and a 5 shot 38 S&W.
