Default Apparently, Mr. Holder blames us for arming the Mexican drug cartels

I was watching Lou Dobbs tonight, when he played a clip of Holder speaking. The subject was about the thousands of drug gang related murders in Mexico. At one point, Holder made a statement which implied that the cartels are being armed mostly with 'assault' weapons from the U.S. . He then stated something like, "the president and I are looking into a few things we can do (concerning guns), and one of the things we want to do is institute an 'assault' weapons ban".
I cannot remember exactly how he phrased it, but it was in words to that effect. If any of you saw this tonight, please correct me if I have it wrong.
How 'bout this, "hey Mr. Holder, how about doing something to control our borders"!!!.
If thousands of illegals can walk across our border every day with few being caught, then yeah, I could see how guns could be easily smuggled back in to Mexico! Finish the damn border fence then man it with National Guard troops from each of the border states. That would be a lot cheaper than the costs we are currently incurring because of illegal aliens!!

Sorry. Had to vent. This guy is such a moron.

Had my local BATF agent visit me at the office today touting Operation Gunrunner, or stopping firearms from going into Mexico. I asked how does that affect me, I collect bolt action rifles. The reply was they are contacting all FFL holders in Texas and the other border states.
Hey Holder why don't you talk with Hugo Chavez, he's the one arming the Mexican drug cartels.

They showed weapons seized from the cartels in a recent raid. Included grenades and RPGs. Didn't see any of those at the gun show last weekend.

These are coming from the Middle East and China.

Mr. Holder is another example of someone educated beyond their means ! The drug trade and trafficing not the issue, illegal crossings not the issue.....where criminals may be getting guns from...an issue.

One more socialist idiot to have around.

Come on now, don't you know that all of us evil right-wing whackjob gun owners have RPGs under our beds, grenades in out sock drawers, and milspec MGs hidden in our closet. Not to mention the nukes in our basements and the arms factories in our garages

Holder is Peeing on the wrong fire. The US should declare the Mexican border as a "Clear and Present Danger" and wall up the border. Illegal crossers should be dealt with seriously. Send them all to Gitmo untill the place busts at the seams and they have to cross into Cuba.

Holder is not stupid, he is going to use current events in Mexico to help push the assult weapon ban. Stupid no, snake in the grass yes. The grass must be very long in DC, because there seems to be a lot of snakes there.

Momo, what did that ATF do while they were paying you a visit?
Search your records, sales slips, copy your inventory list?

I’m afraid that I have to hold my opinion about Holdme to myself.

No wonder I haven't been able to sleep well lately. My RPG must have shifted under the matress and got over to where I usually lay. Man I gotta go move that thing. Maybe I'll store my tank under the bed instead of the RPGs.

More specific comments from Holder

"I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller," Holder said.

"I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum," Holder said. Personal comment: WTF!? Banning guns in America to stem the flow of illegal arms to Mexico? WTF???

"As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.

No, Marlin they just dropped off some brochures and asked to report anything suspicious because they needed to stop the flow of illegal weapons to Mexico. I doubt if cartel members want a 60 year old MN 91/30!
