Default magazine compatability

so I know quite a bit about fire arms, except what rifles use what mags.
I'm trying to find a cheap (under 1500) AR style rifle in .308 that uses FN FAL mags. Can anyone help me out here?

G'day crazy ol grunt , sorry mate they dont take FN mag's, in fact not a lot else does

AR 10 mags are unique to them but a few other 7.62 nato rifles use the same mag pattern so they are inter changable

i sold all my SLR ( L1A1 Lithgow made FN/FAL) mag's a heap ago

the B10-B was made to take FN mags and Lee Enfield clips but they had a hassle with import to the US from Oz ( stupid idiots used VN made stocks )

cheers to you from a cranky old grunt

Only US made 308 rifles that take FAL mags I know of are the FALs from DSA, (the STG-58s are well under $1500), or the semi-mythical KelTec RFBs, which take FAL mags, if you can find one.

Rock River Arms LAR-8 uses FAL mags. From what they told me they can use either standard or metric. This is a picture of mine.

Mine is great, it has no issues reaching out and touching what I want at about 400 yards......it should be capable of double that from what I have been told.

It came with a two stage trigger and that helps some.

since its an AR-10, is it still compatible with all AR-15 cosmetic accessories, like butt stocks, and hand rails?

From what I have seem, stock AR10 and AR15 parts do not interchange, but I have seen some aftermarket parts listed to work with the 5.56 and .308. For example....

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/760...aluminum-black

Also, be weary because some AR .308 makers kind of do their own thing. A prime example is my Rock River...........their set up is specific to their rifle. From their site...
