Thought some of you might like to see this, if you haven't all ready.

Quite the collection. This went around a while back though.
Unfortunately it's not Charlton Heston's, but rather that of the late Bruce Stern. Stern was a Vietnam vet and quite the gun collector. He was also an NRA member and on the Board of Directors. He died sometime in '97. Regardless, it's a mouth-watering collection. |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there has been a ton of misinformation circulating the internet about these photos. These are not pics of Charlton Hestons basement nor is it Bruce Sterns. It is Glocknuts basement, before he added a few pieces.

My favourite have to be the BARs. Though there are lots to keep any gun nut happy for some time. Is that an old 'brown' AR10 on the far wall above a M16? Nice rifles.
I have often wondered about private collectors. I never saw the point, it's a little like having a private museum. Dont get me wrong, if you have the money and inclination, go for it, but it never appealed to me. It's a death thing, I mean we are all temporary custodians of these things. I have a few bits I like, a couple of 1750-1800 navy cutlass for a start, but I always have in the back of my mind, best pass them on before too long. Cant take them with me, let others enjoy. As I say, dont mis understand, it's only my personal point of view. If you have the money and get pleasure from your collection, go for it. Now, where can I get one of those doors?
