I have the standard Hoppe's #9 Gun Oil that I have been using for a long time. I watched a video on youtube and a gentleman on their said it's better to use grease because it will stay where you put it. That makes sense to me. So I am curious to know what everyone else here uses.

I still have my old Hoppes cleaning kits, brushes, etc. from the 1960s.
Old habits are hard to break.....(unless something better comes along?) |

A mix of hoppes gun oil and Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil. Outer barrel and rails get Gunslick grease. So good that my stored guns still don't need a re-lube after a year in storage, but do it anyway for principal.

I've been using SBGO since I won a drawing for it here a year ago.
I use it on more than just guns, though. Anything that I want to stay lubricated long term... hinges, vise, etc. It's good stuff.

I have used Hoppes gun oil, and Rem oil in the past, and am still using it some, but am going to SBGO. Once the Hoppes, anf Rem Oil are gone, SBGO will be the only thing I use. It does make a difference, one that you can see!
