Why are high point pistols so dirt cheap?

There craftmanship is not very good. There machining is rough.Although they shoot pretty decent. They have a lifetime warranty and I heard they have a no questions asked policy the just replace it no matter what.I know a few people that have the c-9 and they really like it.A great saturdaynight special

If your like me the Saturday Night Special is all I can afford for home protection. I have the Hi Point C-9 and I like it. I am not all that sold on semi-auto's. I keep worrying if their going to jam or something, when I need 'em.
The revolver is a different question. I have some .22's and .38 Specials that go bang at the right time. If you can't hit what what your aiming at with 6 shots, what good is having 8 or more with a semi-auto? The Armscor and Windicater series is very under rated. I have both with a 4" barrel and they fit my hand fine and are very accurate. Plus with a speed loader I can re-load very quickly. If I could afford it a Bersa 9mm would be a top choice as a step up. I have a friend that says they are pretty accurate and for the price you can't beat them. I might pick one up sometime.

I had two of the C-9s and really liked them. I now have only one, because my DIL won't give back the one I loaned to her.
