Default Holsters

I recently just started looking at competitive shooting, but have no idea what type of Holster I should have. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Depends on what you're shooting, what type of competition shooting. For example, a quick-release for a Glock is one thing, while a cut-down fast draw holster for a Ruger Vaquero is something else.

I second that request made by blackhawk. What competition are you looking at? IDPA? IPSC/USPSA? Cowboy action? Three Gun? What gun are you shooting? That will give you more focused answers?
