I've shot a couple of the little Firestar's, but never one of the 1911 copies that Star made. Well, I found a model B, 9mm, at a good price and gave in to the temptation.
It's been a very busy couple days since so I haven't even taken it out yet but I thought I'd see if anyone here had any experience with them. Will they shoot hollow points as well as FMJ? This gun doesn't look like it has been shot much, or, at least it doesn't show alot of wear. I was looking for a fun plinker, hopefully it will do that much for me.

What a loser
. I took it out yesterday. Put 8 rounds in the clip, fired them off, good group, then I noticed the last one didn't eject. I turned the gun sideways to let the empty roll out and saw that the pin that holds the slide in was missing . Yes, while shooting, the pin fell out. I dug around in the grass in front of me and found it. I loaded up my gear, went right back to the store where I bought it, and to make a long story short, I now have a good used Ruger MKII."Live and learn---"
