The CZ 70 is a latter commercial version of the CZ 50 Czechoslovakian military sidearm from circa 1950. Essentially the same pistol except for some minor improvements on the model 70. The CZ 50 is considered a Curio & Relic while the CZ 70 is not. Both fire the 7,65mm (32 ACP) round from 8 round magazines (which are interchangable). It's based on the Wather PPK design, hence the good looks and in MHO while not a true Wather, it still a good value. I hope this helps. Mark
