I have over 80# and am wondering what to do with it. I got in a estate sale and thought it was something else. Oops.

Never heard of it. "Thunderbirds are go!"
If worse comes to worse, you have 80# of excellent fertilizer. It had to be good for something. You might google it and see what comes up. |

I think I still have some Thunderbird in the closet. Stuff always gave me a nasty hangover, I'll stick with the Night Train.

I did a Bing Search for Thunderbird 2208. At the Cast Boolits website forum, there is a thread in the "Canister and Surplus" category discussing this powder.
In short, it's a surplus powder used for .223 Rem or 5.56NATO, .308 Win and .30-06. Check over there for contacts, not much loading information posted. For loading generic .308 and .30-06 loads, if the price was right, eighty pounds would be very useful.

That's a really old benchrest powder. I used it years ago but ran out long ago and don't have any data for it. If you can't find any data, I'd offer it for sale on one of the auction forums. There are lots of people out there who have used it and likely still have the data, and it would be quite useful to them. Does it smell ok?
Here's a link to an article I found on this excellent powder: http://www.longrangehunting.com/arti...r-review-1.php |
