I had skype but my computer became really slpw so I deketed a bunch of stuff, and I think skype was in there somewhere.

My wife runs it on hers, its not bad if she could get it up and runnin.

I used Yahoo Messenger for years and recently downloaded Skype.In my opinion Skype works best when making a video call.Voice is better and the image is smoother.

Al, you can install Skype and call anyone. You put a few bucks on account and then you can call anyone at a regular phone #. Depending on where you call, it will usually cost a penny or two per minute. I used to call my parents from Mexico to TX for 1 1/2 cents a minute.

If I was in the states using my air card, I'd hook up with you, no problem but I am currently in Mexico having a good time and have pretty poor internet connections using wifi..

its a integrated voice video address lookup and connection tool

you can voice only
voice and video
or video with soundtrack ( $$$ )

its ok i use it to chat with folks all over
and its cheap ( free)

Beth, you can use it as a telephone, using your computer as a speaker phone, or if you and the other guy both have web cams, you can do video calls. If the other guy has Skype also, there is no charge, but if only you do, it costs you to make the call. I don't know how much.
