Default Great NW Washin' Machine and Cannon Shoot

I just posted a sign-up sheet in the "Events" forum.

OK, so we can't post in the events forum. Completely missed that little fact. Here is the squib I posted down there.

We don't have a date, we don't have a location, we don't know who is going to show up,,,yet. Last year's shoot was a rousing success and was enjoyed by all. Ysacres hosted the event and was greatly appreciated by all. A more gracious host will be hard to find.

Sign up here and give us suggestions on location and dates. Memorial Day and Mid-June have been suggested.

There have been a couple of prizes donated already. If you want to donate something cool, desirable or humorous, let us know. We don't need to know the contents of the prize, if you want to keep it a surprize.

OK, we will put up the stuff here.

Just moved the info in the events post to the first of thhis thread.

Howdy Mr Armedandsafe. Pete1 here, finally dropped in the site and I see we are trying to set up next years washing machine shoot.Memorial day would be good but I guess we need to make it work with Ysacres schedule. Sure enjoyed the meet this year and I intend to be there again if possible.Coyote said something about multiple cannons next time so it sounds like a fun time.
Hope this missive finds you well and happy, enjoy the festering season, oops, I mean festive season and I hope to see you again next summer.

I got to ask, are there any hotels nearby? I'm a single parent of two girls. My eldest daughter has cerebral palsy and doesn't do well without a bed.

Ysacres place is just outside Pullman and there are several nice motels with w/c access there. Coyote has put up the possibility of having it near his place, where there are some nice places, too. If we use Moses Lake, there are several nice places, too. Shooting facilities are not so good here, but we could figure something out, I'm sure.

Coyote has said he will have a rifle or something for the raffle and I will put up at least a powder horn, made especially for the event (know what a pimp-horn is, anybody? )

If this is done on days my girls are off from school, I'll be there! If was only me, I'll sleep in my truck. However, my older daughter is a bit of a miss priss. I have an old computer and maybe a printer to donate. There's a possibility that I can come up with a washmachine too.

Out of curiosity, where does the proceeds of the raffle go? I can usually come up with something to donate when it comes to a good cause.

Hadn't really thought of the raffle in those terms. Last year, the cost of a raffle ticket was showing up. I do know hosting the event was not free on Y's wallet. Hmmmm...Coyote?

Count me in on this one. I crapped-out last time and have barely been able to cope with the shame.

I'll leave the bike home this time and drive the Jeep. Lots more room for shootin' irons.

YAHOOOOOOOO! We gotsa HOME! Y's, thank ya ver' much, indeed. OK, we've got a plan, now we just have to figure out how to get a washer and dryer from Ohio to Pullman. Maybe SG could put them in IBs big rig and pickup piggy on the way.

Tell Mrs Y's we REALLY appreciate her patience and understanding. What's that you say? She's going to Hawaii for that weekend?

Default Ok ... We got the date....

Now all I have to do is make the arrangements. I talked with the wife and she would love to go again. We normaly go camping with her family on memorial day, but she says we can miss it once and a while. As the date gets closer, plans will get clearer.

Oh by the way I got the job and I get my weekends back!!

I have posted a tentative roster in the first message. Let me know PM or email if you want changes, additions. I'll be going in on Friday evening, after evening route, to help Y's set up.

Incidently, if you have yahoo Instant Messenger, I'm know there as <rifler39@yahoo.com> If I'm on line, I'm signed in here and there.

We shoot rifles, pistols, revolvers, shotguns, cannons, mortars, and burglars; a washingtonmachine would be a delight. Please bring Model DC.
