I paid $140 for mine second hand in like brand new condition. It has since become my favorite bang stick. One shot at a time is plenty in my book and after 3 or 4 shots with it I'm ready to switch to the 20 gauge.
The damage it creates with any size shot from #6 to #3 is tremendous. Buck shot is a little less effective because the full choke spreads it out and I don't shoot slugs through it because I just don't put slugs through a full choke but #4 lead or #3 steel shot will really get your targets attention with a nice even spread of the shot.
