Iver Johnson safety Hammer 32 S&M

I have just aquired a IJ safety hammer revolver. The serial number is F59189, located under the left grip mid left frame. When was this manufactured and does it have any collector value? Thanks in advance Terry

the letter code F was used on the second model in 1899 and then again in 1902 & 1903. from the pictures your posted it appears the there are no patent date on the top of the barrel (1899) the patent dates were modeld to the left side of the barrel and then to the bottom of the butt starting in 1900. so i am guess serial number F 59189 was made in 1903.

Thanks, you are right there are no patent dates on the revolver anywhere.
