The NRA has lawyers that will help this guy fight this crap. The entire pro gun nation should be outraged and form a huge protest in his name and protest this kind of liberal nonsense. This is the same type of crap that is going on in th UK right now and if we dont stand up and do something about it now it will spread to other states. Someone in that state needs to start a protest!!

here is what caught my attention more down int he article

"Fleming's collection of seven rifles and a .38-caliber handgun were seized by police"

under what authority did they do that? he hasn't been convicted of anything yet.

why did they take his other guns??

The NRA and GOA had better step up and start helping guys like this.
These types of stories are popping up every week now it seems.

they have no grounds to seize his other guns...even as evidence. because they're not the ones used in the incident.

I'm as pro gun as the next guy...when I took my ccw class we were told..you can't shoot to wound, and can't fire warning shots...there has to be a threat of death or bodily harm...I took this class in the most gun liberal state in maybe the world...Arizona...if this guys supposed warning shot bounced off something and went thru a window and hityour kid, you would go crazy...
The laws are the laws and right or wrong we have to obey them or change them..or else we may loose our precious right to posess...

"This homeowner fired at the ground, from all accounts, in a safe direction and held a burglar for police and did things correctly," Dean told FoxNews.com. "The fact that this man would be charged is an outrage. Burglars in New Hampshire must know it's open season, since homeowners cannot defend themselves, as evidenced by this case. This is charging the victim."
There is no way this thing will stick. I can't believe they took all his guns!

Within his own property, acting in self defense to stop a home invader though?

I'll help donate to his cause if we take up a collection. If we allow liberals to do this stuff to people, sooner or later this will happen to one of us.

From the article
Quote:
A New Hampshire man who fired his handgun into the ground to scare an alleged burglar he caught crawling out of a neighbor's window is now facing a felony charge...
He wasn't protecting his own property, he was protecting a neighbors.

Somebody forget to tell these cops that laws are not created to be enforced. They are to protect the innocent. This guy did NOTHING wrong. Some cops are just too stupid to have their jobs.

You guys are looking at this the wrong way. He was not protecting himself or his property, he was conducting a "citizens arrest". No personal protection, CCW laws should apply, only what a citizen can and cannot do when conducting an arrest.

They took all of his guns because he was charged with a felony. Felons cannot own or posses firearms.

Yeah I said on this forum I believe, cant remember that CHL's are worthless because everytime you want to use your weapon the law has some charge to give to you but even though go figure this has nothing to do with a public place, for crying out loud at the top of my lungs this was on his neighbors property. He was only protecting his neighbor. This is the most craziest story Ive heard in about a year. Wrong Wrong Wrong what the law did to the guy protecting his neighbor which could of turned to be bad is wrong *Shaking my DAMN head!!!*

I wonder if the cops were thinking "arrest them all, let the courts sort it out"?

I might add that in light of situations such as this, I would do the exact same thing without hesitation.
