Default Replacing Shotgun Recoil Pad

I need to replace a recoil pad on a 50 year old double barrel made in Spain. It will have to be custom fitted. Can someone point me in the right direction to find the parts I need. I've looked thru Midway USA's paper catalog with no luck.

Fitting a recoil pad is a straight-forward process. Simply buy a grind-to-fit pad by Pachmayr, Limbsaver or whichever type pad you want. Compare the dimensions of the stock butt to the pad and get a pad larger than the stock so you can carry the contour of the stock toe through the pad.

Here is an great tool that works well to get whatever pad you'll be going with, close
to the original shape of the butt-end and then you can hand sand (the pad)
for a custom fit.

That's what I need, a source for the pad

Before you start sanding down, make sure you wrap the wood with a layer or two of masking tape so you don't mar it.

have no worries, I'll make a template and do my sanding away from the stock. no way will any abrasives get near that wood

A template is great for initial fitting. But, for final fitting it is best to do the last bit of sanding with the pad attached. You then mask off the stock where it meets the pad and then carefully hand sand. Once the sandpaper starts to wear away the paper, that area of the pad is done.
