Thank You
One morning, like every morning, an elderly woman walked out onto her front porch and shouted, "Thank You, Lord, for another day!"
Her next door neighbor didn't believe there was a God so he would shout back, "There isn't a God!" One morning he heard the woman praying to God for groceries for the week, he snuck over early the next morning and put groceries on her front porch. That next morning she came out and said, "Thank You Lord for providing my needs!" The man laughed and laughed and said, "God didn't give you those groceries, I put them there!" She looked up into the heavens and said, "Lord, Thank You! You not only sent me groceries, but you got the Devil to pay for them!" |
