Default Scopes and range finding

Ive been trying to figure out how the rangefinding out works but when explained it seems very complicated. Is there an easy way to explain how to estimate distances with these scopes. Also if u know any good quality range finding scopes.

Are you referring to MilDOT scopes? Some folks prefer the milradian scale and others prefer the MOA scale for measuring angles. What is your budget? What distances are you planning to shoot at? See if this site helps. After reading begin to test yourself on the animation -1 and animation-2. (the second one is a lot of fun)

I do not have any experience w/Barska, hopefully someone else does. However, the basics are in the links above.

Howdy--1st post here

Any optic that has at least 2 stadia points in it can be used for rangefinding. See the system here--

Barska is low end junk. a Vortex or Super Sniper Mil Dot would be a much better scope, for twice the money.

With a Mil Dot scope, and a Mil Dot master, you can range find anything you can see out to 1/2 mile in seconds.

Ive used a lot of them, and this is what I have on my personal long distance machine.
