Ah, brings back memories. I have very few similar photos. I couldn't keep from breaking cameras...trashed a Nikon, and Mamiya. Welcome home brother.

Welcome and thank you for sharing the pictures...and thank you for your service....What does the term/title GOLDEN WING mean? I swear, as I scrolled down your posted pictures, I could smell the earthy smell of that dugout....maybe it was from my boyhood days on the farm...that smell of fresh turned sod in the bloom of spring time...the robins and other wild birds following along in the furow behind you, gleaning for worms....Chief

Goldenwings is from the Navy/Marine Coprs Gold Jump wings I earned many years ago and still love to jump.
The pictures are: Me in a make shift sleeping/bunker at Vandergrift Combat Base on perimeter guad (our two weeks out of the bush. One CH-53 bringing in supplies My high school classmate (in my company) with gun ammo slung all over himself My bootcamp buddy exploring an NVA bunker we took on a hii fight up on Mutter's Ridge on 1 May 69 Last edited by goldenwings; 05-12-2009 at 08:00 AM.. |
