Wondering if anyone would have any idea as to the approximate age of a Mod.'94 Marlin in .44-40 cal.?
The serial # is 4152xx Most markings on the barrel are obliterated by wear except " Pat.Aug1 1893"

I found this info in the FAQ section of the Marlin website
http://www.marlinfirearms.com/FAQs/index.php It says they have records for the model 1894 until 1906. Marlin Service P.O. Box 248 North Haven, CT 06473 For Product Returns: MFC 100 Kenna Drive North Haven, CT 06473 Telephone Number for Service: 800-544-8892 Write to Marlin and give us all the information on the particular firearm, including model, serial number, caliber, barrel markings, etc. We will furnish general information on that model. If you would like specific Marlin (or L.C. Smith) serial number information, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming can research your serial number(s) for a fee (see below). |
