Default Federal 223 Rem 55 gr FMJ American Eagle 200/box

Is $74.90 at Natchez a reasonable price for this ammo? I've shot American Eagle ammo out of my AR-15 and it shot decent. It hit what I aimed it, at least. That's about $.37/round.

If there are better prices somewhere, where can I find them? I haven't spent much time price hunting.

Thank you for replying.

I have some Wolf ammo and it is cheap. Problem is, the cases aren't reusable and I don't recall them being that accurate in my gun. I've also had FTE problems with them before.

Careful with the wolf ammo...steel cases can hurt the chamber of the firearm. I only shoot wolf through the AK. It shoots them well.

Yes, for AE XM193 it is a good price. I haven't seen it at a better price in over 2 yrs for a qty of 200. Only times I've seen it cheaper per round is if you buy 1000+ and even then, it's still pretty close.

And +1 to Wolf being junk for my 556; nothing steel cased is going into something I value so much. Steel cased is ok for an AK or SKS, but not much else.

Thanks for the replies! I would have liked to order a case of 1000, but I'll have to settle for a couple of boxes of 200.

Can't wait to put holes in stuff this summer!
