Default Earth Day Special: The Media's Top 25 Worst Environmental Quotes

The title says it all. Here's the link to the story:

http://www.mrc.org/media-reality-che...nmental-quotes

There are some wild and wonderful and hysterical ideas there. If our children and grandchildren don't laugh at us for fools, they may be swearing at us for destroying the economy over some half-baked pseudo science.

Didn't know about Lenin's birthday, and would have been unaware of earth day except I got this email talking about it.

Come to think of it, both have the same objectives--take from the rich and give to the poor; distribute all income evenly. Yesterday was my son's birthday, which is more important.

I can agree with trying to conserve a little energy, but you know they've been telling us that global warming/pollution was going to kill us in a decade for the last twenty-five years.

If highly-educated scientists don't even agree that global warming/climate change is real, why should I?

We all leave "footprints" on earth. The concern is not with the footprints, but the path they lie on.

And in the early 70's, we were running out of oil. Gas rationing anyone?

Well, here we are, 40 years later, and were burning up more than ever. Musta been a hella lotta dinosaurs in the past. And just how did they all get covered by miles of dirt and water?

Common sense has left the planet.

1970 the first earth day http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bb3_1335141049

how we would all be frozen to death , how the oceans would freeze and lock up all the oxygen , how we had to stop cutting down tree's to make paper bags and instead must use plastic bags to save the planet

32 years on , 174 revisions by various climate experts ( such as the car air conditioner guy who did not finish high school but wrote much of Al Gores documents from memory of his socialist classes )

the world is still here , the radical temperature swings aint here , but every year the founders group celebrate Lenin and the new plan to make the west socialised and accept socialist doctrine as its own

claims in 1970

the world will be 30 degrees cooler by 2010

the artic ice sheets where growing so much faster than ever before in history

snow would fall every year from 1999 in the Australian outback ( stiil waiting for that first snow flake here)

and the only one they got right .. Socialist doctrine will control what people know and learn by 2005 ...

Jack,

I went to high school in early 70's and what makes me remember all of that nonsense is because I grew up in a very cold climate (Wyoming, it was colder than -40 degrees many times that winter) and I thought &#$K it is cold enough now and snows at the end of may and some in june, how cold is it going to be??

If we humans are causing global warming, then explain to me why the temps are rising on the planets in our solar system?

2. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens.
3. We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers [are] as widows.
5. Our necks [are] under persecution: we labour, [and] have no rest.
16. The crown is fallen [from] our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!
21. Turn thou us unto thee, O LORD, and we shall be turned; renew our days as of old.
