Talking NEWS FLASH

I know that some folks here are like me and think that the 1911 is the handgun to own and that there are others here (I will keep praying for them)
that think a PLASTIC PISTOL is the cat's meow but the bottom line is what is written in this story

http://hunting.about.com/od/guns/l/aastpistolofCa.htm

I hope you enjoy the read

Just because something was “OK” in it’s time, doesn’t mean that the “new and improved” should be ignored. Modern day technology has left the “antiques” in the dust. It’s hard to compare a Model-T to a Ferrari.

Oh, and I am referring to the “plastic” HK, not the Glock junk.

Hey, I can stir too.

Pickenup
I had no idea that you was a plastic gun owner my heart goes out to you
I held a new Springfield today and it was a plastic gun but it was a nice gun XPD or something like that had a grip safety felt good and shot well. It was a 9MM and I only fired a couple of rounds thru it but I could see where if it had been a 45 it might have caused me to look at it longer and better

Which half? On last count, two rails and a barrel don't measure up to half!

Magazines don't count, they're removable!

If a dog saved its owners life even once, or perhaps on numerous occasions....how many of you here would critisize the dog if it were not a purebread this or that ?? How many of you would ?? I'd like to know !!!!!

I have a mile to walk up to my shack in the quarry when the creek is flooded. The dogs of white trash roam this area, and many have formed packs...killing deer and other wildlife. A crane that i was fond of got riped to shreds by one of these packs...
I personally have been attacked at my very doorstep, and several times on the road up to the quarry. And every time those dogs were killed by one weapon. A Glock.

So when Y'all run your mouths about Glock Junk this, or Glock Junk that... I DO take it a little personal...

Obviously reasoning with y'all doesn't seem to make a differnece. I've tried it on many occasions to no avail...

By the way, my money is almost in now. I told yall i was debating between a 1911 or an AR in 308..."AR 10" ??
You've all just leaned me a little further towards the AR !!!!

Think about it. If i ever did buy a 1911, there is no way i could ever tell you guys about it... YOU KNOW WHY....because the harping, hooping, and howling from you old farts would be so furious that i would never hear the end of it..Probably to the point where I would actually cringe at the idea of logging on for the evening to do my daily postings.....

I really am going to get a Tupperware.
It's just that I waiting until my Smith 19, 2 M&P's and my Colt Officers Match and Police Postive wear out.

"sproing"
That could be why I have never seen anyone shoot a "Tupperware" at our monthly informal matches.

Only if you were able to hit them. The ones that got away, proclaims milestones for the ones still around. At the rate you are killing them, they may be more than the rocks in your quarry! Seems you have a hard time with that plastic masterpiece of yours! Need more practice or would a simple 1911 solve your problem?

Next time, throw it at them. That may be the answer!

Dang boy, you are talking all strange tonight.....

Yes, i will admit. The droppings i leave at the treeline do tend to draw all manner of animals...
I got the last laugh when i took a pic of a rival neighbors dog eating one of said droppings and mailed it to him......
Keep any eye on your dog IPT !!!!

Not at all. It has always repelled them.... The only one that got his teeth into me was the one that jumped me from behind while i was looking for the door key.....

Yeah, if i had a 1911....maybe.

Y'know, GN, perhaps it's the big chip you carry around on your shoulder that gets all these folks a-pickin' at you! [grin]

To listen to you complain when someone criticizes your chosen weapon would tend to make one think that you might harbor some deep-seated doubts as to your choice. Sorta like "the stuck pig squeals the loudest" type of scenario.

I'm sure your Glock is a fine piece. And I'm happy for you that it serves you so well. When SWMBO and I were looking at our first pistol, we both held several different weapons in our hands. The Glocks just didn't feel right to us. Didn't like the square grips and the fact that we would have to buy 'slip-ons' in order to modify them. We liked the CZ-75, however, and picked one up. It's hers, now. Later on, after I'd had a chance to try a Kimber at a firing range ($5 rental!) I made up my mind to own a 1911. Bought the gun you see as my avatar. Been happy with it since.

Notice you don't see me getting all riled up and my panties in a wad when you talk bad about JMB's work? That's because I didn't buy the gun for YOU to be happy with. I bought it for ME to be happy with. Likewise with you and your Glock. You bought it for YOU to be happy with.

Even if it is a piece of Tupperware.

[grin]
