Default Did you hear about the guy who cut his arm off?

He had been hiking the Appalachian Trail along the Tennesee section. He wandered off of the trail and some how is arm became wedged between to very large rocks. He had been stuck for about 3 days or so and became desperate. He was out of water and the cold nights were taking a toll on him.

The gruesome part is he felt he was going to die so he used the saw on his Leatherman tool to saw his arm off at the elbow. National park rangers found him a few days later dead with his arm still wedged between the rocks. It was apparent that the poor fellow cut the wrong arm off and remained trapped untill his death.

JAcksonco...the way I heard it..he was more to the north east...say..W. VA ..a poor native there..? I think thats the way I heard it...

I feel good tonight...will share somthin special w/u and whoever....

U may or may not know that Texas Aggies (A&M) ..a great school..but is THE basis for dopey or Moron jokes here in Texas and abroad......

At least ONE of the proven reasons this started or in itself helped add to it.....In earlier times the FIRST Ejection system(s) were being developed for the first airplane canopies that slid over or completely covered pilot..and needed to be removed for bailout..etc....

anyway...many working on basics ...release levers...etc...and oNE of the engineers (yes A&M ) job was to make the plate or instruction label plate for emergency procedures (ejection)...

Anyway...he chose mounting position at top of canopy so pilot could simply lidt head and read...

Anyway..day of live test arrived..real plane..low fuel...remote local with chase planes...and test pilot...

at desired altitude pilot receievd instructions...."proceed with emergency ejections "

..Pilot looked up for step # 1 : "RELEASE AND BLOW CANOPY "....

he did ..then looked up for Step # 2..........gone with canopy.......?????

this is a true story...how much it led or attributed to Aggie jokes...that I cant assure....but it sure helps for me.......

I did hear about the inmate at Monroe prison in WA that cut off his penis. He was doing time for serious sex offenses. Self sentencing, I guess. Pretty good, I thought. I just hope the great liberal state of WA doesn't reattach the member at taxpayer expense. Wouldn't surprise me though.

To all of the above.

1 Shot, you can rest assured that Aggie jokes are quite popular in my part of the Country.

As a Tennesseean, I must say that I resemble that story, Jacksonco!
