US Border Militia - The Firearms Forum

You know we have so many damn illegal immigrants running around the country and everybody complaining about it, but nobody doing anything about it. You know if a Mexican woman dragging 6 or 7 kids can come across the border without being detected, think how easy it should be for some terrorist to get in. I was wondering what your opinion might be if the US established a Militia Border Guard where the average person like you or me could volunteer our time and firearms to patrol and protect out borders. Just like cities and counties in this country that have auxiliary police and deputies to augment their permanent forces, the US Border Patrol could "deputize" a militia or militias to help them out.

1. Do you think it could work?
2. Would anybody be interested?

I read somewhere the Feds were prosecuting some guy in one of the border states for organizing his own militia to keep illegals out. Think it was down in AZ.

This is already a reality. It's called Ranch Rescue. http://www.ranchrescue.com/ Their website is being upgraded right now, so there's not much to look at. But it's basically a citizen militia that wants to protect property owners near the border.

Since its inception, it has been harrassed by the government at all levels. It has become VERY clear that our government does not want to shut down the border problem. They want it. They need it. They would rather shoot Americans who defend our borders, than the illegals crossing over it.

Come on guys... if you want to become Boarder Patrol then go thru the steps to become BP. I am sure that 99% of the people on here have NO IDEA what it takes to become an American Citizen much less how life really is in these other countries they are fleeing from. My mother was not originally from the US but has since become a citizen. IT TOOK YEARS!!!!!! Travel through central and south america and see how these people are living and you will understand why they want to get out.

Now dont get me wrong I think they should go thru the process of becomming a naturalized citizen but when you think of the fear of being sent back if you dont make it thru the process I can also understand why there are so many illegals here. They want a better life dont you?

Well my opinion is that they should try to make their own country more livable. We can't keep bringing people from all over the worlds just because their standard of living is less than ours. None of the countries in Europe allow uncontrolled immigration and neither should we. Just look at the expense they create for us in schooling, medical care, etc.

Ok but think about it this way... the ONLY people who ever had the right to say that about America was the Indians and look where they are at now. We have pushed them back and taken all we possibly could from them. The boarders were open at that time and thats how 99.99% of us got here. So what gives us the right to say... 'nope sorry you cant come in now'

2. Illegals taking jobs away from needy citizens is just plain wrong

3. If they come here learn English!!!! Anymore in Florida if ya speak the English language your the Minority!!!

4. Our border patrol is a disgrace, it is a huge problem that needs to be addressed!!!!!

Poor Indians??? The Seneca's just opened a casino doen the road from here on the Salamanca Rservation, they grossed 47 million, in just five short months!!! Yeah they got screwed over a time ot two, but their smarter now and are more than making up for it!!!

Poor Indians Indeed!!!

Did I mention that the Booger clan has some Indian blood in their veins!!!

gagirl, I understand where you're coming from. But that's easy for you to say. Try living next to the border. You'll feel much differently about it. I could regale you with hours worth of stories from down here in South Texas. Many of the border crossers are armed criminals, drug runners, coyotes, and other undesireables. They trash our land, kill our livestock, and steal anything that's not locked up.

I see a big sympathy ploy coming from certain segments of our society. And they are mostly people who are far removed from the problem. Come LIVE with it for a while; you'll get a whole new perspective.
