Default ancient city found on Caribbean sea floor

My personal theory is that most underwater cities that are found were built during the Ice Age and when the ice sheet retreated these cities gradually receded beneath the ocean.

There are some GREAT shots there -
It is hard to imagine this being anything BUT an inundated city, but they do have to play it safe I guess -
This one should be VERY interesting -

That's neat stuff! There is another train of thought that says that the Earth's rotational axis shifted dramatically and over a short period of time at some point due to the unstable wobble we still have. Thomas Gold suggested this and there's good evidence to back it up... When this potentially happened, the earth's crust would have shifted dramatically. Because of the way centrifugal force would dictate that the earth be wider at the equator, land shifted dramatically and some areas sank very quickly. I don't know how valid this theory is but I've always found it interesting to consider.

Could this be the city of Atlantis?

Call me a sceptic, but I think the whole thing may be summed up in their final sentence:

And you may well be right.
But you have to admit, those pictures sure show SOMETHING down there -
If they are legitimate, of course.

I spent several hours with Google Earth, looking at the shallow spots in that area, just hoping to hit on this -

Every few years, a 'new' city or 'civilization' is discovered, and an otherwise unsuccessful 'scientist' finds his retirement funded, LOL!

What caused this city to sink? Was it run by Democrats?

The pictures, to me, look like WWII shots prior to a bombing run. Kind of a cloudy day in spots.

neet article i found this to be funny though the project’s leader said, “It belongs to the people of this island, and to the world at-large. If any pieces are brought to the surface, they belong in the hands of a museum.”

There is a true "Indiana Jones" out there

Millions of years ago many mountainous and dessert regions were under prehistoric seas. Land masses have shifted, ocean levels have risen, receded and risen again. Ice ages have come and gone. Only Al Gore is certain that man with his modern civilization is responsible for global warming. A prudent person accepts climate changes and geological shifts as nature's way or even God's punishment for human transgressions. It takes a great ego to dispute God and nature.

pony, I believe I read/heard that at one time they thought the north pole was somehwere around Hawaii. Then a radical shift of the poles and it is where it is today. I am like GG that mountains have come and gone so why not in the process cities. There is actually a spot in Iceland where you can physically touch both the Americas plate and the European plate within say 15 - 20 meters.

Seriously?

If this 'city' was under water for any length of time, all the edges would be washed away. Too many square corners, perfectly straight roads and intersections, and nothing round anywhere.

I like the theory. I think that Thomas Gold has an ingenious mind and I subscribe to several of his theories. I believe that the axis shifting phenomenon is the most likely of any as to why our land has changed so dramatically in the past.

It depends on the scale. Rounding of stone corners would show in close detailed photo's, but not in distant shots.
There is no size reference in these pictures, but if this city is truly OLD, then it is truly BIG as well, for the reason you outlined.

When I see such straight lines and the size of this city I am very suspicious this is a hoax.

Have any of the great minds like Alec Baldwin or Sean Penn verified this yet?

Maybe O'bummer can figure a way to tax it.
