I seen what you're sayin' Warpig... it was rather shocking, and hard to believe it even happened.

Even without the boob scene, it was trash.

The whole time it was on, I was wondering if this is really the garbage that people listen to these days. Is this what's considered mainstream?

I am actually embarrassed for America over that. I wonder how many people around the world were watching the Superbowl half-time show and shaking their heads in disgust at us.

I know I was....

I just have to add my two cents as well. Honestly as soon as I saw that it was Janet Jackson acting like her brother I surfed to another channel, basically she and Michael look to be copying each other and that was my main turnoff.

I was disappointed in the half-time show as well. They should have canned the whole thing and let the marching band perform the entire half-time show.

Unfortunately, that garbage is in fact what our kids are listening to these days. But you know why? It's because that is what is being shoved down their throats by the entertainment (and I use that term loosely) industry.

On the other hand, the pre-game performance by Josh Groban was great! And although I held my breath when I heard that Beyonce was performing the National Anthem, I was please to see that she chose to dress appropriately, and she gave an impressive performance.

Most of the was actually about five years old

I listened to constant annoying commentary on the radio this morning ,they claim it was an accident ,not one person on the radio asked the question , if it was a accident ,then the stunt in question would have had him ripping off her bra/half/bustier ,and reveling clothes ,and what would have been the purpose of that ? ,and who puts a nipple pasty on under their clothes

there was no other purpose of doing it other than Janet Jackson is going to perform at the Grammy’s next week , and after the Madonna ,Brittany spears, and Christina aguilara incident they had to do something similar to get attention

it was in bad taste to do this at the super bowl ,almost as bad as rose an bar singing the national anthem

Gotta disagree with you here SM. The market decides just what sells and what doesn't. Guess who the market is...all of us.
Yea, the kids are buying it, but who's watching what the kids buy and listen to? Unfortunately, it's not the parents.
TV and radio have become the great babysitters since mommy and daddy are too busy to deal with little Bobby. Kids watch what they want, listen to what they want, read what they want and hang out with who they want because parents can't be bothered to raise their children anymore.
Most of the time both parents work to keep up with the almighty "Jones'es". If both parents are working, just who's raising little Bobby?
Answer: Janet Jackson, Britany Spears and all the "thug" wannabes of rap.
(Can't blame it on Heavy Metal anymore...we've been driven underground by the hip-hop crap.)

Yeah, but "the market" can only choose from what is presented to it. If all you are ever served is hamburgers and french fries, then you'll never even know about pizza, much less be able to try it to see if you like it. The music industry big shots decide who is "marketable", not the kids. And that "marketability" is usually based more on so-called "entertainment value" than on talent.

Missed it! (feeding my face)...saw the news today and it looked like a stupid half-time show. If you didn't see it Toby Keith had a CMT "Shock 'n Y'all" Super Bowl show that was better...'course i'd take Waylon (may he rest in peace) over Willie anyday...

Thought the girl that did the National Anthem did good too! When they showed the Pictures of the Helicopters flying over though...I got a little nervous, wondering if they were going to crash before it was over. Them Pups just seem a leetle unreliable in my book...I see where people pay to ride in them...Not this fella!...

That bothered me too, Sniper. I hope it was an honest attempt to show patriotism, and not just grandstanding.

That's the question, LTS. Did Janet and Justin plan this without MTV and/or CBS knowing about it? Or were they all in on it?

hmmmmmmmm

Well, he was singing some song about being proud to live in the USA, so I assume it was a misguided attempt at patriotism. But then he threw it off and the guy behind him threw it on the floor.

It's just amazing how little respect there is today, even when people are trying to be good.

Show a Boob but don't you dare say God bless !

We've come a long way baby as the saying goes.

I agree about the parenting, it isn't there. In most

cases the parents are just as bad as their kids.

No morals , no values, no principles, no Ten Commandments.

The US is morally bancrupt.

The show included :

Janet Jackson grabbing her breasts.

Sean P. Diddy repeatedly fondling his crotch.

Striptease cheerleaders.

Gyrating transvestites.

Simulated lesbian sex.

Jackson and Timberlake groping each other.

Some of the commercials tasteless. a talking chimp,

blatantly asking his owner 'babe' if she would like

to go upstairs to have sex with him !

It just seems to me that the whole thing was

orchestrated trash.

FORBIDDEN FRUIT CREATES MANY JAMS !

It wouldn't surprise me if someday you would see BJ's

being performed at half time, and called family prime

time TV !

Indeed, well said. I'm glad at 1/2 time I went out to get a pizza.

Welcome, danurve!

On the Janet Jackson thing... I hear now that President Bush is getting involved. He has announced that he will be creating a new cabinet department. The Office of Wardrobe Security.

I heard that cbs will place a delay (censor) the grammys.
This will be their boobie trapp.

(added)
Personaly I could care less about grammys, and similar award clusters. They look like a bunch of liberals patting themselves on the back.
