Best online heavy pistol reloading prices - The Firearms Forum

I've heard on here to stay away from cheaperthandirt.com for ammo. Do y'all buy your stuff at local stores (powder, primer, brass and bullets, etc) or do you buy online? If so, who has the best pricing and what websites do you regularaly check for deals?

Buy powder and primers local so you do not have to pay HAZ-MAT fees which kill any cost savings for reloading. I buy bullets on line and get brass from different places, mostly from the range.

I buy my powder and primer local from several different places,but I haven't had to buy much since I keep a pretty good stock and buy in bulk. I buy quality jacketed bullets mostly when there on sale and mostly for hunting only.

I shoot mostly surplus,plated and cast bullets in my rifles and pistols,most of my handgun loads use one of two powders and I average 1900 loads per lb.

Wildcat, for powder, shot and primers your very best bet is Graf's and Sons in St Charles, they wont steer you wrong. Just cross the river on the I-70 bridge get off on fifth street its about 3 blocks north on the left hand side. Buy your stuff local till you decide which powder, primers and bullets are right for you. Cabela's has a pretty good bullet selection but are usually out of primers and powders. Grafs is seldom out of anything but you can always call before you go, good friendly folks dont be afraid to ask questions.

I usually buy most of my bullets at Midway or Grafs and always buy powder and primers locally. I just got an order in from Wideners today, it is the first time I ordered anything from them, but I got five hundred 168 grain BTHP .30 cal bullets from them for $93, which I think is a pretty good price. I ordered several other things from them also and they did have the best prices on the things I ordered.
