You're off to a great start, don't worry about the size of the manuals. The first sections that are "must reads" are less than 10%, most of the bulk is in the load data. I finally picked up a copy of Speer 14th and I spent an hour tonight reading through the first 40 or so pages. I have read at least 20 other manuals, but still read any that are new to me.
Looking forward to any more questions you may have and none of them are stupid. No such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people that don't ask questions !
Reading in advance will help ensure that you get the right equpiment the first time around and save you some bucks.
Semper Fi and Enjoy your reading !!
