Default Today's Tea Partys Picture Album

Here's the link to pictures of some of the parties held around the nation.

I hope some of the media picks this up!

Did you or are you participating in one in NY? In away I wish I could, but travel right now is out of the question and I've never been a big fan of large crowds anyway. Still I'm with them in spirit and hope they get their point across.

I just had a sick thought re: these (and any other) demonstrations. Personally, I think they're great; we have a right and a DUTY to make our voices heard when we know that our elected officials--including our so-called President--are not representing us as they should, and even worse, are working against us by ignoring reason, wisdom and legitimate concerns. So what's the problem? Well...my "sick thought" is this...

Could these demonstrations backfire on us? Could Obama see them as enough of a "threat" that he ramps up his efforts to implement a civil military force? Are we unwittingly playing right into his hands?

Iowa won't let them dump tea....

State officials ban tea from Tea Party
By Michelle Malkin • February 27, 2009 11:04 AM

Via Snapped Shot and STACLU comes news that Iowa state officials have banned the use of tea by Tea Party protesters holding an event tomorrow in Cedar Rapids.

The tea violates environmental standards because it will discolor the water:

A Cedar Rapids group will do a symbolic tea dumping into the Cedar River on Saturday because state officials won’t let them use the real thing.

An anti-tax group wanted to pitch in real tea like the Bostonian revolutionaries opposed to England’s tea taxes.

Tea, although natural and quite tasty, is considered a pollutant that can’t go into a body of water without a permit, said Mike Wade, a senior environmental specialist at the DNR’s Manchester field office.

“Discoloration is considered a violation,” Wade said.
What would our Founding Fathers say?

I'm going to one of the big ones on July 4th. The one in NY is for tomorrow for 1 hour and it'll take me 2 hours to get there. So I'm going to Boston on the 4th and stay the weekend with my niece.

I had the same crazy thought too but right now he and the rest of his inmates need to see that the Ameican people Don't want them to kill America! And to shoot a message to the other politician, especially Chuck the Schmuck that Americans DO CARE!

His army of thugs will scare us all....sigh....I just can't believe this is America....

I think this action by Obozo would play more into our hands.
As far as his civil military force. I say, bring them on. I get the feeling that Code Pink ain't going to want to "dance" with the likes of us.

That's actually what I'm expecting to happen

The founding fathers would have drunk the tea and immediately made collective direct deposits into the river.

We had one in Greenville, SC and the local media was there to cover it. My wife and I were standing on a stairway just above the camera man and lackluster reporter. I made the comment, "WYFF, they can't hardly spell their stories correctly, much less report the facts correctly..." I got a few laughs...
