Nelson vote was bought!

Hopefully the people of Nebraska will do the right thing and throw this whore out of office!

They added a provision that the state of Nebraska will not be required to pay the increase Medicare payments. The rest of the nation will be responsible for paying the increase cost for Nebraska.

This isn't a one time thing, it is written that they will NEVER ever be responsible for increase medicare cost.

Again we the tax payers get screwed!

OK. Wanted to play DA again on this one, but can't. A payoff is a payoff. I can see the concessions RE: abortion. That does not bother me. It has been said that he is looking out for his state. Well....in this instance, it can be said that he is also looking out for himself.

As everyone knows here, I am for this bill getting passed. But not this way. And not by a Democrat pulling this stunt. I would have rather seen a Republican break ranks and just flat out go against his consituancy.

This sucks.

I have a 24 yr. old daughter that is refused individual insurance due to a pre-existing condition. That and several other items needs to be addressed! But not with this horrific government grab of the insurance/medical industry. Socialism has never worked for the prosperity of all in any place that it is found and it won't work here. Fix some things, yeah. Put a ridiculous(impossible) and undue financial burden on my kids and grand kids, heck no!!! Oh yeah, don't forget the further erosion of personal rights with this bill.

Well....that is something I have gotton into many times in many posts....But the basics of it is the private industry isn't doing anything about the problem. So the government is stepping up and offering an option for those without---not free insurance....but accessable insurance costwise. Now, I am not for every part of this bill. But am willing to put of with some of the bad to get millions of people covered in a nation that has all but forgotton them.

I mean....I work in a setting where prisoners have better health coverage than some working Americans. It just sucks. And I have had it.

The problem is that the govt. has already stepped in, State and Fed. You can not contract with an ins. co. for the ins. you want. By the time you go to buy ins. you have to buy from a small restricted pool of insurers who must all sell you coverage for all kinds of coverage you don't need and coming with this administration that you buy ins. to cover abortion and probably sex change operations.

I did not want Medicare when it was proposed but I got it anyway. Now that Medicare has been extended to cover unfunded expenses and group coverages that are bankrupting the program, the Congress takes a half Trillion out of Medicare and uses it to fund their Health Care Monstrosity and within 11 months add at least 12 million new citizens to the expense of the program.

This Congress wants to seize 80% of income of taxpayers to pay for their destruction of the Constitution. Will the 2020 elections matter? I would be surprised if it made any difference. Don't forget that the States have to anti up their part of of Medicare/Medicare costs. Do you recon you state taxes might double when that hits?

I believe there is an equal protection clause in the Constitution that prohibits Neb. from getting special treatment that other states can't get. Let's see how that works out. To these people the Constitution is not even an "Inconvenient Truth" any more.

I would think that Congressional whores as well as 'working ladies' provide the same services to Americans as of late. The only difference lies in the amount of pleasure provided by the parties.
